Avery is almost 2!
Gosh, Avery’s mom reminded us that just about 2 years ago we visited for a newborn in-home photo shoot. Has the time passed that quickly? Our cutie is growing up and is quite the adorable toddler!
My favorite shot was a bit of a fluke. We roamed downtown Belleville’s alleys, nooks and crannies and ended up behind Margarita’s (YUM! Our favorite Mexican restaurant). Near the dumpster there’s a lovely patch of grass. We plopped her in it and began shooting. I didn’t think I could continue near the dumpster in the July heat, but I managed (badly if you ask the spectators) and we got a beautiful shot, one of my favorite Avery portraits yet. Happy to get the shot, and even happier to move away from the stench we called it a day. Avery’s parents were totally cool about the whole stinky scenario. I love them up too! They know a little discomfort is sometimes worth it
